Tattoos Cost Trio Miss SA Contest

THREE more contestants have been confirmed to join 24 semifinalists to compete for the Miss South Africa crown in March next year.
The new contestants are Kirsten Hornby (24) of Ruimsig, Roodepoort, Gauteng; Ntsiki Mkhize (23) of Kliprivier, Midvaal, Gauteng and Tegan Goldman (22) of Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape.
The trio will replace Kelly Davids and Altina Vries of the Western Cape and Aseza Matanzima of the Eastern Cape who were disqualified from the pageant last week because they had visible tattoos.

Both Mkhize, who had entered the Miss South Africa Pageant before, and Goldman said they were delighted to be part of the Miss South Africa event.
Hornby, who works full time in the fight against human trafficking, said it was "the most surprising call of my life. I had completely closed off the idea of ever getting in. I feel
incredibly blessed to be here and plan not to take this opportunity for granted."

The Top ten will be announced in early
February and the televised crowning will take
place at Sun City on March 27.
