Kanye West Blames Himself For His Mom's Death

Kanye West's blame on himself is absolutely heartbreaking.
The rapper was asked what he had to sacrifice for his success by Q Magazine, and he responded, "my mom.
"If I had never moved to L.A. she'd be alive," he said. "I don't want to go far into it because it will bring me to tears."
Kanye's mother Donda died in 2007 from heart disease while suffering complications following plastic surgery. She was 58.
Since her passing, Kanye has paid tribute to his mother through his lyrics. In his song, Only one he describes his mother watching over him and proudly observing his career and new family.
"Remember how I'd say one day you'll be the man you always knew you would be?" the lyrics say from his mother's perspective. "And if you knew how proud I was, you'd never shed a tear, have a fear. No you wouldn't do that."
Not only did the 38-year-old artist open up about his mother to the magazine, but he also spoke about life as a parent himself. As the proud father of 2-year-old daughter North West, he always makes sure to set some time aside for her during his hectic schedule.
"While [Nori's] here in Europe I have to have six hours a day with her because otherwise I'll just work and she'll get scheduled around meetings," he admitted. "Instead, the meetings get scheduled around her."

I Will Perform Godwin in Church Again And Again: Korede Bello

After he performed his smash hit single, ‘Godwin.’ at HICC (Harvesters International Christian Centre) in Lagos, On Sunday, April 5, 2015, Marvin new boy Korede Bello faced mixed reactions from some of his fans and followers of Nigerian music. While some saw nothing wrong with him performing the song in a church, others felt he crossed the line as a secular act who mounted the sacred pulpit.

While speaking to TheNET recently, Korede Bello said he doesn’t regret performing in church and if the opportunity presents itself again, he’ll gladly do it all over again.

Hear him:

‘If you are the pastor of a church and you invite me to perform the song, Yes i will perform the song again. It’s God’s song and whatever is happening now is predetermined, people are talking about God that’s all that matters, From the inception of Godwin, I knew that it wasn’t
my song, I knew that anything that’s for God has the potential of growing bigger than you imagine. It’s not quite a gospel song, it’s an inspirational song, what I mean by it’s for God is the fact that it’s
dedicated to God. I don’t see it as my song, I see it as people’s song and I see it as a song for God.’...

Actor Michael Jai White Apologizes To All His Exes In An Open Letter

The actor, who said he's found true love with his wife Gillian Waters picture with him below, wrote an emotional letter to all the women he's hurt in the past. He said his intense love for his wife have him feeling apologetic to all the women
who came before her, who loved him and got hurt.

Over the weekend, he published a lengthy letter on Facebook about how giving his heart to Gillian has made him a stronger man and a better person. Read his letter.

In Michael's words...

"In all my years as a grown man I knew, without a doubt, that women were different than men and required a gang of emotional attention. I came to the resolution that part of a man’s role was to endure women’s emotional neediness by patronizing them much as you would a child:
“Yes, Dear, I’m listening,” even though this is some rhetorical BS. “Of course I miss you,” even
though I just saw yo’ a– a little while ago! “I see you’re calling me”… even though I just F*^#ing talked to you 20 minutes ago!

As a man, you have to deal with hand holding, “yes dearing,” and freaking cuddling! I endured this for years until my relationships reached their natural demise due to some natural chemistry flaw between us or the woman’s natural chemical
imbalance–yes I said it! I believed ALL WOMEN WERE CRAZY and the only choice a man had was to decide exactly how much crazy he’s willing to deal with to sustain a relationship.

It’s crazy to think I, as a man, would ever want to spend every waking moment with a woman, to be all-up-on each other constantly, to talk endlessly about “every-damned-thing” and see each other “every-damned-day!” I was always the spoiled

Alpha Male who didn’t have to try as hard and I dealt out advice to my brethren due to my abundant experience with women. I had Alpha
Females, “Dime Pieces” with degrees and plenty of them! I pretty much got every woman I wanted,
rich or famous and who could argue with my numbers? On every level, I was “The Man!”
Agreed? Well take my numbers, “Dime Pieces,” and vast experience and apply it to what I’m about to say–I WAS WRONG ABOUT WOMEN ALL THESE YEARS! My [Exes] were right!

The interesting thing about every good argument is the shifting percentages of validity on each
opposing side, but only one concept will tip the argument past the 51% and expose the unflinching reality of the truth. My new life philosophy is to look forward to being wrong because each time I’m wrong, I learn something that unlocks the door to a concept I struggled to understand.

The truth is then revealed and to live in the truth is to live in enlightenment.
I am now in a relationship that I never knew was even possible. I’m in love with my best friend who I shower with endless affection, talk to allVtimes of the day and miss the moment I leave her side. I now understand what the women of my
past desired from me. They INSTINCTIVELY KNEW that love actually looked this way! Everything from the hand holding to countless daily declarations of love were not only a byproduct of the man’s
emotions but it was something easily volunteered by the man who’d truly loved them.
I simply didn’t love my Ex’s in the capacity their spirits knew organically needed to be loved. I
believe woman nowadays have learned to settle for what’s FAMILIAR to love. In turn, they’ve had to decide how much of a man’s love they can live without to sustain a relationship. As we men are
natural leaders in providing security, it is women who are the natural leaders in how to love. They are instinctively born with the barometer to feel when love is real. The behaviors they’ve required from men IS the behavior that is true for love.

The crazy lesson for men is that YOU’LL NEVER KNOW HOW MUCH OF A MAN YOU CAN BE UNTIL YOU TRULY LOVE SOMEONE BEYOND YOURSELF.
I can say that I am now the very best version of myself and that’s due entirely to my relationship.
My perspective is clear, my goals are defined, distractions are nonexistent, my business and
personal relationships are stronger than ever. I don’t feel like “The Man,” anymore. I feel like A MAN."

Suarez And Neymar Take Barca Burden Off Messi

Lionel Messi will have to wait for his 400th Barcelona goal. The Argentine attacker failed to net as Luis Enrique's side stormed into a
commanding lead in their quarter-final tie in Paris on Wednesday night but he won't care because,
refreshingly, it was his two team-mates who took care of the scoring this time.

Barca have so often relied upon Messi in recent years - especially in the big games and particularly in Europe. But at the Parc des Princes
in their first-leg game against Paris Saint- Germain, Neymar and Luis Suarez showed they are ready to provide a helping hand with
important goals too when it matters most.
Neymar perhaps had a point to prove after he was surprisingly substituted by Barca boss Luis
Enrique in the weekend draw at Sevilla, when he had been the best player on the pitch. And he proved that point by scoring the first following a lovely lay-off from Messi, later earning generous applause from his coach as he produced a
remarkable run which almost resulted in a second. Looking tired up until his recent rest due to suspension, Neymar has returned a different player.

But Suarez stole the show. The Uruguayan, constantly questioned in his first few months as a Barca player, got off to a slow start in terms of goals at least but scored two stunning strikes in this match. The 28-year-old has now netted an
impressive 18 in 33 games since signing in the summer - and the Barca trident of Messi, Suarez and Neymar is surely football's finest forward line at the moment.
"It takes time," former Barca striker Thierry Henry said of his adaptation afterwards on Sky Sports .
"You can't arrive at Barcelona and not struggle to perform especially when you're used to another type of system and play. But he's clever enough to understand what he had to do and as we saw, he's a great goalscorer, a great player, with great
movement."

And Suarez himself said: "We knew before the game that if we didn’t concentrate we wouldn't be able to win the game. When you play against the big teams you need concentration."
They had that and on this form Barca will take some stopping in the remainder of the competition.

Luis Enrique's side will be expected to finish the job with relative ease at Camp Nou next Tuesday and the Catalans remain on target for the treble as they have already reached the final of the Copa del Rey and lead La Liga by two points from Real
Madrid.

Much of that is down to the brilliance of Messi in 2014-15, but the Argentine cannot do it all on his
own and Barca are in such a strong position now because he is getting the help he needs from Suarez and Neymar. Messi is maturing into the
sort of player who pulls the strings from deep, which could become his natural position once he enters his 30s. It was the role he filled for
Argentina at the World Cup - imagine if they had Neymar and Suarez ahead of him?

"We were excellent not only in attack but also in defence," Luis Enrique said. "I have to congratulate the players - it was a huge win and a
deserved one at that."
It certainly was and the Asturian's decision to push for the summer signing of Suarez is definitely paying dividends. As the striker settles and Neymar blossoms in his second season, it isn't only all about Messi any more - and that's the best news for Barca.

''Women Should Use Their 20s To Build A Career & Not Chase Love'' - Wendy Williams

Who else agrees with Wendy on this one? Forbes recently sat down with the 50 year old opinionated, envelope-pushing styled gossip talk
show host to discuss her views on career, success and why women, not men, are the ones to lose out in marriage. And according to Wendy,
women shouldn't chase love in their 20s, a practice all of us indulge in.

Wendy said:

“My suggestion to women is always…use your entire 20s to work your behind off in your career… And then think about meeting that guy. Cause we’re the ones that lose in marriage. Not men.
It is difficult for men to accept really
successful career women. Whether it be that we out-earn them or that our name is brighter than theirs. I also feel like marriage and babies stunt a woman’s growth career-wise…Once you get married and have kids, you can’t do all the things that you used to do and maintain this important precious thing that you built as a family.”

Do u agree with her?

Ekiti APC Lawmakers Vow To Go Ahead With Fayose’s Impeachment

The 19 All Progressives Congress lawmakers in Ekiti State House of Assembly have vowed to go ahead with the impeachment proceedings against Governor Ayodele Fayose.
The embattled Speaker, Dr. Adewale Omirin, has forwarded a notice of gross misconduct to the governor and his deputy, Dr. Olusola Eleka.
Omirin has also requested the Chief Judge of Ekiti, Justice Ayodeji Daramola, to raise a seven- man panel to investigate the two over allegations of impunity, violence and stalking, among other constitutional breaches levelled against them.

Omirin confirmed to The PUNCH on Wednesday that the impeachment plot was still in top gear and would be followed to the end.
But the governor has warned the lawmakers against continuing with the plot, saying their action will boomerang as the people of the state will resist it.
The labour unions comprising the Nigeria Labour Congress, Trade Union Congress and Joint Negotiating Council also planned to host a solidarity forum for the governor on Thursday (today) and Friday.

Omirin, who spoke through his media aide, Mr. Wole Olujobi, said:
“The impeachment process will proceed; we are expecting the Chief Judge to act soon on our letter asking him to set up a seven-member panel. There is no going
back on the process. The matter is set for the next stage.
It is about the governor breaching the Constitution. We are guided by the Constitution. There are laid down rules and regulations that guide the conduct of public office holders. Once you commit an infraction, you have to face the consequence.

The governor has to answer the
allegations; the Assembly will give him a fair hearing. We will follow every step.”
Omirin countered claims that the governor had not been served the impeachment notice.
“If he was not aware, why did he go to court to try to stop the impeachment plot?
What is the basis if he was not served? As far as we are concerned, he has been served. We’ll resume very soon. At the appropriate time, the Speaker will reconvene the Assembly.”
But reacting, Fayose, who said he was not shocked by the decision of the APC lawmakers to continue with the impeachment plot, described
their action “as an idea that is distant to common sense.”

Speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Idowu Adelusi, the governor said that the plot was not a war against him but war against the people of Ekiti State and God.

How My Administration Will Tackle Boko Haram - Buhari

New York Times published yesterday April 14th, wrote on how his administration will tackle the terror group, Boko Haram. Read below...

When Boko Haram attacked a school in the town of Chibok, in northeastern Nigeria, kidnapping more than 200 girls, on the night of April 14, 2014, the people of my
country were aghast. Across the world, millions of people joined them in asking:
How was it possible for this terrorist group to act with such impunity? It took nearly two weeks before the government even commented on the crime. This lack of reaction was symptomatic of why the administration of President Jonathan was swept aside last month – the first time an incumbent president has been successfully
voted out of office in the history of our nation.

For too long they ruled, not governed, and in doing so had become so focused on their own self-interest and embroiled in corruption that the duty to react to the anguish suffered by their citizens had become alien to them. My
administration, which will take office on May 29, will act differently – indeed it is the very reason we have been elected. This must begin with
honesty as to whether the Chibok girls can be rescued.
Currently their whereabouts remain unknown. We do not know the state of their health or welfare, or whether they are even still together or alive.

As much as I wish to, I cannot promise that we can find them: to do so would be to offer unfounded
hope, only to compound the grief if, later, we find we cannot match such expectation. But I say to every parent, family member and friend of the children that my government will do everything in its power to bring them home.
What I can pledge, with absolute certainty, is that from the first day of my administration, Boko Haram will know the strength of our collective will and commitment to rid this nation of terror, and bring back peace and normalcy to all the affected areas. Until now, Nigeria has been wanting in its response to their threat: With our neighbours
fighting hard to push the terrorists south and out of their countries, our military was not sufficiently
supported or equipped to push north. As a consequence, the outgoing government’s lack of
determination was an accidental enabler of the group, allowing them to operate with impunity in Nigerian territory.
That is why the answer to defeating Boko Haram begins and ends with Nigeria. That is not to say that allies cannot help us. My administration
would welcome the resumption of a military training agreement with the United States, which was halted during the previous administration.

We must, of course, have better coordination with the military campaigns our African allies, like Chad and Niger, are waging in the struggle against Boko Haram. But, in the end, the answer to this threat
must come from within Nigeria. We must start by deploying more troops to the front and away from civilian areas in central and southern Nigeria where for too long they have been used by successive governments to quell dissent.
We must work closer with our neighbors in coordinating our military efforts so an offensive
by one army does not see their country’s lands rid of Boko Haram only to push it across the border onto their neighbors’ territory. But as our military pushes Boko Haram back, as it will, we must be ready to focus on what else must be done to counter the terrorists. We must address why it is that young people join Boko Haram.

There are many reasons why vulnerable young people join militant groups, but among them are
poverty and ignorance.
Indeed Boko Haram – which translates in English, roughly, as “Western Education Is Sinful” – preys on the perverted belief that the opportunities that education brings are sinful. Promise of food If you
are starving and young, and in search of answers as to why your life is so difficult, fundamentalism
can be alluring. We know this for a fact because former members of Boko Haram have admitted it:
They offer impressionable young people money and the promise of food, while the group’s mentors twist their minds with fanaticism. So we
must be ready to offer the parts of our country affected by this group an alternative.
Boosting education will be a direct
counterbalance to Boko Haram’s appeal. In particular we must educate more young girls, ensuring they will grow up to be empowered
through learning to play their full part as citizens of Nigeria and pull themselves up and out of poverty. Indeed, we owe it to the schoolgirls of Chibok to provide as best an education as possible for their fellow young citizens. Boko Haram feeds off despair. It feeds off a lack of hope that things can improve.
By attacking a site of learning, and kidnapping more than 200 schoolgirls, it sought to strike at
the very place where hope for the future is nurtured, and the promise of a better Nigeria. It is our intention to show Boko Haram that it will not
succeed. My government will first act to defeat it militarily and then ensure that we provide the very
education it despises to help our people help themselves. Boko Haram will soon learn that, as
Nelson Mandela said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

Foreign-Owned Shops Close In Joburg Amid Fears Of Attacks...

According to reports by SA media, a number of shops owned by foreigners have closed their
shops in the Johannesburg CBD area after allegedly receiving threats from a mob. The group, who are said to be Zulu boys, threatened to attack any shops that remained open. They
recently looted many shops in Durban and killed about 10 foreign immigrants, including Nigerians.
They burnt some people inside their shops.

An eNCA reporter Nickolaus Baeur was in one of the streets this morning called Lilian Ngoyi Street
and shop owners told him they feared for their safety.

Ex Militants Become Lawmakers In Rivers State

Some of the dreaded Niger Delta militants, who accepted the Federal Government’s Amnesty, have been elected into the Rivers State House of Assembly,
The late President Musa Yar’Adua had in 2009 signed a Proclamation granting Amnesty to Niger Delta militants, who agreed to lay down their arms and embrace peace.

The deal offered an unconditional pardon and cash payments to fighters who surrendered their arms and assembled at screening centers located in many parts of the oil-rich region within 60 days.
It targeted up to 10,000 militants whose attacks in the six Niger Delta states cost the country a third of its oil production and revenue.
The amnesty which came to effect on Thursday, August 6, 2009, saw militant commanders, including Government Ekpemukpolo, alias
Tompolo, Sogboma George, Ateke Tom, Farah Dagogo, Ebikabowei Ben, alias Boyloaf, Kile Selky Torughedie, alias the Young Shall Grow;
surrendering their arms and returning to normal life outside the creeks.

But based on the result of last Saturday’s election released by the state Returning Officer,
Faraday Orumwense, a professor of Material Engineering, the ex-militants are among the 25
candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, who won the poll.
The ruling All Progressives Congress was only able to win a seat in the 32-members state legislature.
Citing widespread irregularities and violence, Mr. Orumwense declared elections in six state constituencies inconclusive.
PREMIUM TIMES can authoritatively report that among those who will be making laws for the oil- rich state are Farah Dagogo, an ex-general of a
dreaded militant group.
Mr. Dagogo, an indigene of Tombia community was dragged into the race by the Degema Political Front, a frontline political group and he will be representing Degema State Constituency in the assembly.

Adoki Tonye Smart, who will be representing Port Harcourt 11 State Constituency in the new assembly was a former field commander and
second in command to Soboma George.
Late Mr. George was a dreaded militant leader who was shot by a rival gang in the Old Port Harcourt Township, months after he accepted the government’s amnesty.
Chisom Promise Dike, who won the Oyigbo State Constituency seat in the assembly, is a strong ally of Ateke Tom, a self-styled General of the erstwhile Niger Delta Vigilante Forces.
Mr. Tom, now referred to as the godfather, has become an institution of sorts in Ijaw politics and has strong influence in Okrika land.
He even contested the PDP gubernatorial primary in the state but was trounced by Nyesom Wike.
Kelechi Nwogu, who will be returning to the assembly to represent Omuma State Constituency, is said to have strong links with some of the ex-fighters in the region.

Evans Bipi, the factional speaker of the 7th Assembly, who was chased out of the chamber while attempting to impeach Governor Rotimi
Amaechi, with five other lawmakers, will be returning to the house to represent Ogu/Bolo State Constituency.
Mr. Bipi is a relation to Nigeria’s First Lady, Patience Jonathan, and is also said to have strong links with Mr. Tom and other militant leaders in the region.

It was the House Leader, Chidi Lloyds, who stopped Mr. Bipi and his accomplices from going ahead with the plot to illegally remove Mr.
Amaechi from office.
Mr. Lloyds had used the fake mace brought in by Mr. Bipi to thoroughly beat up and chase away the anti-Amaechi lawmakers from the floor of the assembly in 2013.
Mr. Lloyds, a strong supporter and friend of the state Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, did not return to the assembly.
Other PDP member in the new assembly include Marshal Stanley-Udom who will be representing
Abua/Odual, Okpokiri Okpokiri, representing Ahoada West; Jack Major, representing Akuku Toru 1; Tonye Alalibo, representing Akuku
Toru11; and Ikuinyi Ibani, representing Andoni.

Others are Granville Wellington from Asari-Toru 1; Enemi George from Asari-Toru 11, Abinye Pepple
from Bonny; Ngbulelo Israel from Gokana; Oguguo Anslem from Ikwere; Deeyah Bariene, Khana 1; Dinebari Loolo from Khana 11 and
Amaewhule Chike from Obio/Akpor 1.
Also elected on the PDP platform are Michael Chinda from Obio/Akpor 11; Christian Ahiakwo from Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni 1; Uwaji Nathaniel from Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni 11; Dabotorudima Adams from Okrika; Ogbonda Nwene, Port Harcourt 1;
Ihunwo Nyeche, Port Harcourt 11 and Ngbar Amulele from Tai.

The only APC candidate declared winner of the assembly poll is Josiah Olu, from Eleme State
Constituency.
Mr. Olu, a staunch supporter of Mr. Amaechi, will be returning to the new house with a PDP majority.
However, elections to Ahoada East 1, Ahoada East 11, Emuoha, Etche 1, Etche 11 and Opobo/Nkoro were declared inconclusive.

INEC is yet to fix dates for the conduct of fresh elections in the affected areas.

Funny guy coming out to see these after the reaction on his face Lol

Drake looked like he was about to
throw up after Madonna grabbed his head and kissed him on stage during a performance at Coachella on Sunday night. But now he's saying people should not mistake the expression on his face as disgust. First, his people told TMZ that Madonna was only supposed to dance around him on stage and nothing more so he wasn't the
expecting the kiss and that it was the lipstick that made him react like that and not the kiss. Many people didn't believe him so he took to instagram to keep protesting...lol. He shared the photo below on his page and wrote;

"Don't misinterpret my shock!! I got to make out with the queen Madonna and I feel about that forever. Thank you!"

Nollywood Director, Chico Ejiro Exposes How Actresses Seduce Producers

Ace filmmaker Chico Ejiro, gave Yes International mag an explosive interview – where he spilled the beans on why most actresses fail in marriage and how they harass film makers with sex offers.

Read interview excerpts below…

Actresses complaining about sexual harassment from producers and directors: (Laughs) – Since 1988 or so that I entered Nollywood, I still keep hearing this. Azuh Arinze, I have to tell you something, it’s not just in Nollywood. Maybe it happens or it doesn’t happen, but I’ve heard about it before. But in the life we live today; in your journalism even; even
in Nigeria Police, in Nigeria Army, in politics, even, banking is more difficult. When you send those girls to go and pursue people to open
accounts.

So, what are you talking about? They should leave Nollywood alone. It’s part of life, and again let me tell you this – if you are good as an artiste, if it happens to you, say no! You will still make it. Why? Because you are good. Maybe it’s those ones who are not good that complain.
Some people, maybe, want to bribe their way to the top. So, I don’t think it’s an issue. It happens. It’s in banking, it’s in…all aspects of business life.

As a director and producer, have you ever harassed anybody before or begged any actress for sex?
I haven’t! Me ke? I’m a married man, dedicated to my wife (Laughter).

Have they harassed you before?
Yes..

How did you handle it?
Em…There are times I will audition, they will walk up to me to say oga, please help us. I will say no, you cannot act. They will say whatever you want, we will give it to you. I will say like what?
Some will buy gifts, maybe champagne and all those kind of stuff, while some will say can I just
book a place that we will go and talk? And I will tell them nooo!
I’m a religious man, I go to church (General laughter) and I don’t encourage things like that.
People should work very hard to make sure that they achieve their dreams. I will also not encourage producers and directors that are doing things like that.

Marriages in Nollywood hardly last, but yours is still going strong. Why?
Why my own has been strong is because there are some principles about life. If you see any marriage, you will think there is no problem, but it is not so. I will tell you just one small story – when I got married, 3 years after I got married, I got so pissed off about marriage that I said I wanted to walk away. And I went to meet the Registrar and the woman sat me and my wife down and gave us education.

So, since that day, we now understood that in marriage you must be patient, you must solve
your own problem yourself, a third party must not come in. There’s a key word in marriage, it’s called communication. You must learn how to talk to your wife. Once you come back, don’t just sleep, don’t think you are king kong, don’t think you are too much, you have so much money, who is she?

No, no, no…Don’t do that. I go to market 90 percent of the time in my house, I cook, because I like to cook. Don’t allow your friends to deceive
you. So, there’s a factor you should understand – in our marriage, nobody should come between
us; we settle our problems. There are times we don’t talk, but the following day we just say do you know you are a very useless man, stupid woman, ehen! Don’t allow your friends to say I saw your husband, I saw your wife, no, no, no…

So, we understand that and it’s been keeping us.
But in Nollywood, why marriages don’t work; one day I will go and give them a small lecture. I’m sorry to say this – the girls feel they are too big, above the men, while the guys, those ones that cannot manage their marriages, believe in what we call king kong. King kong believes I’m too much, who is this woman? So, until they can come together, you the lady, you are submissive… you cannot have a husband and 24 hours you are on locations, everyday you travel round the world, next tomorrow you are in one party in London and you say you are a married woman. How will
it work? Or because you are richer than the boy, you cannot cook for him, you employ a house girl or your younger sister to be talking care of your husband.

E be like Fela song – she go say I be lady! Your husband smokes, you smoke, your husband clubs, you club, you wan talk say I am a star.
Why? Because one big billionaire is investing money on you. When you go out, all the people are shouting super star, super star, super star.
So, they should separate their lives and marriages from acting and become humble. But there are some good examples in Nollywood o!
All of them are not just bad. We have people like Chioma ChukwukaApotha, she has been keeping her marriage; Omotola Jalade has been
keeping her marriage, Sister Joke Silva. A lot of them have been keeping their marriages. So, those who cannot keep theirs should go and learn from those who keep their marriages.

Patrick Obahiagbon Has Spoken Again.

Edo State Chief of Staff, Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon, in an interview with Punch, speaks on the general elections.

What would you say was responsible for the low
turnout of voters last Saturday?

"I’m sure the low voter turnout could be attributable to a vaudeville of
ratiocinations. The presidential election attracted more voters ostensibly because that was the political elephant and was therefore occasioned with attendant publicity ballyhoo. A vast majority of Nigerians were also righteously indignant of the state of economic quagmire, political phantasmagoria and social disequilibrium the philistine and clueless government of President Jonathan has plummeted the country.

They saw in the presidential election a sui generis opportunity to get the yoke off their back and that they did ferociously.
This passion was not as frenzied in the last election".

Can Buhari Really Reduce Fuel Price To N40 Per Litre?

Well according Vanguard , that is what Former Minister of Petroleum and Energy, Prof. Tamunoemi David-West is positing.
The former minister said that Nigerians should expect sharp drop in petrol price from the current N87 to about N40 per litre, saying, “the president-elect, Gen. Mohammed Buhari, will reduce the fuel pump price to N40 per litre.”

In a telephone interview with Vanguard, the former minister argued that Nigeria produces millions of barrels of crude oil daily, and if properly harnessed will boost
the performance of the industry.
His words: “I want to assure you that by the time he takes over, petrol will be dispensed at N40 per litre. This is possible and he has the credibility to make it work.
The major assignment of the president- elect when he is eventually inaugurated is to restore confidence to the industry.
He noted that the president-elect is
familiar with the petroleum industry,
adding that he is a straight forward
person that has respect for democratic principles.

“As military head of state, he dealt with the Federal Executive Council with the tenets of democracy. Buhari will build new refineries to make petroleum products available for the masses. No responsible government will allow the masses to suffer.
“He will strengthen the refineries within a year. It is possible as we won’t spend any amount in setting up a green field refinery. We already have a blueprint as we shall use what we have to get what we want,” he added. He further stated that
on many occasions, the president – elect had disclosed that the subsidy initiative is a fraud which has distorted the progress expected in the sector.

He is also said to have frowned at the spate of corruption, which has
characterized the subsidy regime to
include the trillions of Naira spent on
both Petrol and Kerosene subsidy within the past few years, thus inhibiting efforts to properly carry-out the Turn Around.

Lewis Hamilton Under Fire For Splashing Champagn On A Hostess (Photo)

Lewis Hamilton has come under fire from fans who tag him a macho sexist and a star bent on humiliating women after easing to victory in the
Chinese Grand Prix, The Brit popped the cork and sprayed Champagne, as is normal after victories in Grands Prix, but pointed the bottle directly at an unsuspecting hostess.

She didn't look too pleased at getting soaked by the expensive booze, but Hamilton seemed
unconcerned while celebrating his second victory in the opening three races of the season. He has come under fire from Object, a campaign on media sexism.
Roz Hardie, the chief executive of the organisation, said:
"The photographs appear to show that the woman is not just being splashed, but that the champagne is being very specifically directed into her face, which does not look like a voluntary piece of horseplay on her
part.

If this if the case we think Lewis Hamilton should apologise for his actions and think carefully about how he behaves in the future. For most people, it would be apparent that she is not enjoying it.
It is surely a very difficult position to be a grid girl and she would have had little option but to stand there and take it. That is something of which he should be aware. But instead, he appears to have abused her position."
