Tottenham secured their place in the round of 32 of the competition thanks to Benjamin Stambouli who scored in the second half however the club's night was overshadowed
by the serious breach of security which led to Ukrainian referee Yevhen Aranovsky taking both teams from the field four minutes before half-time. Investigations by the police has revealed that all three ticket for the invaders were bought by the same individual. A fourth ticket was also bought by these same person and the member of the crowd who did not make it on to the pitch has been identified by the club.
Tottenham severed the links with the official licensed suppliers after three pitch invasions caused a 10-minute delay to thier Europa League clash against Partizan Belgrade which leaves them facing a UEFA charge. The company, who also have licensing deals with Liverpool, Newcastle, West ham and Aston Villa denied that it was a PR stunt'Tottenham have said the incident would be investigated further and would take action against the company if they are found to have links to it.
