Gombe Governor Shuts Down All Schools Over Boko Haram

Gombe State Government has ordered the
closure of all public and private schools in the
State. This is coming a day after suspected
Boko Haram terrorists attacked two towns.
A secondary school principal who confirmed
the development told NAN she received a
circular Tuesday evening that all schools
should be shut for security reasons.
Some parents who also spoke to NAN about
the development said they commend the state
government for the action, because it was
necessary to safeguard students.
